Everyone has in mind the role played by the figure of the DJ, abbreviation of "Disc Jockey", the one who selects music for the benefit of an audience, trying to interpret their emotions associating them with the perfect melody. What perhaps not everyone knows is that the origin of the role of the DJ dates back to the opening of the first discos in France, during the Nazi rule.

In this period the very first "discoteques" were born where jazz and blues records from the new continent were selected and disseminated despite the regime prohibiting the dissemination of American recording works. DiJazz was founded in 2012 with the aim of creating and proposing musical selections for the benefit of an audience in search of its melody! the Italianization of the word DJ by means of the letter "i" (from which DiJazz) underlines the idea of something more that we add to music: dressing jazz, dancing jazz, sharing jazz .... or "Jazz things".

DiJazz is a group of artists, consisting of female vocals, tenor sax, baritone sax, trumpet, piano, guitar, banjo, double bass and drums. It offers a repertoire that, starting from the swing of the '30s, delves into the compositions, which between the '40s and the '50s, were the soundtrack of the "great American optimism", a time in which Broadway composers such as Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irvin Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, gave life to the famous melodies of musicals. Timeless motifs such as "Stardust", "Night and day", "Smoke gets in your eyes". Judy Garland who sings "Get happy" thus becomes the symbol of new infinite possibilities, musical and social; the symbol of a world where everything is possible.
